Complete removable dental prosthesis

A total denture is a dental appliance that replaces your teeth and part of your gums. If you have lost your natural teeth due to an illness or accident, or if you need to modify your current denture for aesthetic or comfort reasons, a total denture is the ideal solution.

Balanced full dentures are the most complex. This type of denture offers superior strength, comfort and functionality, and can be a customized, dual-function denture.

Metal or acrylic partial denture (with or without clasp)

A partial denture is used to replace one or more lost teeth. They can be made of acrylic or metal.

Partial denture with metal base. The metal prosthesis is strong, stable and non-corrosive. It is a device designed to replace one or more lost teeth. A metal prosthesis avoids the displacement of the remaining teeth, increases the chewing surface for eating and offers increased comfort and superior aesthetics. The metal used for this type of denture can be a combination of chrome and cobalt or titanium, which allows the denturist to design and create pieces that are usually small and comfortable in the mouth.

Partial denture with acrylic base. This is a partial denture but is more fragile and less comfortable. The acrylic prosthesis is used more as an immediate prosthesis after the extraction of one or more teeth. The fit in the mouth is more difficult and the prosthesis is more voluminous. The partial denture with acrylic base fills a strictly limited and temporary need.

Immediate dental prosthesis

The immediate prosthesis can be used as a transitional prosthesis until the gum has healed. In addition, the immediate prosthesis restores the aesthetics lost by subsequent extractions. The impression is taken before the teeth are extracted. On the day of the extraction, the prosthesis is placed in the mouth. The denturist works closely with the dental surgeon.

After 48 hours, the patient returns to the denturist for adjustments if necessary. As the bone regenerates and the gums flatten, the immediate denture becomes large. The patient must make regular visits to the denturist for temporary relines in order to regain the consolidation and strength of the denture. After a period of approximately 3 to 6 months, a permanent relining will be required.

Dental prosthesis repair

Denture repair is an option in most cases. The denturist is a master denturist and is qualified to repair dentures and restore their unique appearance. Most repairs can be done in one appointment.

Broken dentures should never be glued, as this could damage them. We offer emergency denture repair services.

A denture repair is necessary in any of the following cases: broken tooth(s), broken denture, added tooth(s).

Mouth guard

This appliance is custom-made from an impression of the teeth to maximize their consolidation and support. The mouth guard is prescribed for exercise, recreation and competition in contact sports or other sports where there is a risk of falling or hitting.

The functions of the mouth guard:

1) Reduces the risk of concussion

2) Reduces the risk of fractured jaw and teeth.

3) Reduces the severity of injuries in the mouth.
